Tall Ships!

The tall ships have begun to appear over the horizon from all over the world, and the Festival officially begins today! We will go out to Royal Roads anchorage in our inflatable to catch a glimpse of them as they up-anchor to begin the parade in to the harbour.

I was parked at Dallas Road the other day and saw the Russian one, not under sail, arriving off the waterfront - it's MASSIVE!

We're taking care of TWO marinas now, so we are busy with lots of boaters coming in to watch the festivities - it's been a challenge to fit them all in, but fun!

Once more with feeling....

Well, I am going to try, once again, to post an entry more often! Yesterday we went out in the dinghy just for a little jaunt around the harbour, and ended up out by the cruise ship dock watching one of the largest we've seen, docking. We whooped and hollered and waved at folks out on their balconies in true 'Welcome to Victoria' fashion!

The Tall Ships Victoria festival is only days away now, and I'll be reporting on that as it happens. Stay tuned!
