THE STORMS

Three of the last four nights we've had huge wind storms in the night -- gusts as high as 60 mph! The front page of our local paper this morning shows a nice catamaran up on the rocks at Oak Bay -- sure glad we're tied to the dock. I didn't get much sleep last night, though ... we were 'banging around' quite a bit. Apparently quite a few areas lost power, and there were trees down, etc. -- quite a night!

hey Em,
saw your scarf post on teh ISE and wanted to write you again. I check in on your blog every once in awhile. Good luck translating that picture to a knit blanket for the aft cabin.
my dh and I are in the process of boat shopping still, and right now are landlocked in the middle of the country. As soon as retirement is a reality (a very few years away we think) we are 'outa here'. We'll be putting the boat in (once it is a reality) into lower Lake Michigan, and sailing on the Great Lakes for at least a year while work is wrapped up. Then we plan to take the boat out the St Lawrence Seaway, see Newfoundland and Nova Scotia before heading down the East Coast and on to points further. I love reading about people who are living on boats and actually managing to find space and time for knitting.
take care. Love that scarf you got, I remember seeing the post when the knitter finished it and liking the patterns.
